  5. Overcome internal opposition. Things that are most important are typically the least comfortable. You know how you get a sinking feeling in your stomach when you have to do something you really don’t want to do? The ability to act against your feelings is important to your success.
  6. Identify potential diversions. Distractions are often activities that we enjoy but do not contribute to our achievement. Some are sheer time wasters, such as watching television. Others appear to be productive, but you know deep down that they aren’t. Refocus your efforts on more productive pursuits.
  7. Track how much time you devote to vital tasks. You might be surprised at how little time you devote to those duties.
